The high-performance workforce study

This report examines the importance of the workforce in contributing to a company's success. The research is based on a survey of two hundred senior executives across six countries, in-depth interviews and literature reviews. The results of this research reveal that there is a lack of critical workforce skills, understanding of organisational strategy and corporate priorities among employees in many companies and that, in spite of the time and effort that companies are putting into human resource and training programs, many executives are only moderately satisfied with the results. The report explains the reasons why some companies have been successful in this arena, such as regarding human resource and training activities as valuable and strategically important, and using technology to improve workplace performance.
