Learning on the net - is it really any different

This paper looks at research into the training needs of vocational instructors involved in the development and delivery of online learning in Australia. It is noted that although there is the necessity to keep up with rapidly changing technology the basics of the teaching and learning process must not be forgotten. A model of distributed learning that caters for all learning styles is described. The paper concludes that online learning should be based on the same pedagogical principles that produce quality learning in more traditional modes.
