This report is the result of a research project undertaken by the Australian Education Union (AEU) into vocational education and training (VET) in public schools in Australia. It provides a national snapshot of VET in schools programs and aims to: describe the policy and practices in each state and territory; discuss the impact these policies and practices have on the work of teachers and analyse the issues for teachers and students; and make recommendations for future AEU federal and state/territory policy and action. The report also contains a section on key themes identified in the research which require further examination and debate.
