It is presented in two parts. Part one, 'The new system for education and training', outlines the eight principles of education and training and covers: the Australian Qualifications Framework; units of competency; portability of training; recognition of prior learning; what is in a competency unit; transparency in training; relevance in education and training; and fairness to candidates. Part two, 'Learner's guide to assessment', discusses the process of assessment in detail.
