REFLECT (Regenerated Freirean Literacy through Empowering Community Techniques) is an innovative approach to adult learning which was developed through field practice in Uganda, Bangladesh and El Salvador between 1993 to 1995. This article looks at how the REFLECT program can be used by English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) practitioners in meeting the educational needs of people from broad ethnic and geographical diversity.
