The fundamental purpose of this book is to provide individuals and business organisations with timeless and universal advice on meeting present and future learning challenges. The way the learning process is viewed and interpreted undergoes a major rethink and the author contends that better learning will only occur when workplaces and their people are committed to implementing innovative and cohesive training and learning strategies. The book takes a practical approach, with an introduction that defines the term 'workplace learning' and explores the basic principles of the learning organisation. The material is then presented in three parts: part one provides a conceptual overview to transforming workplace learning in today's rapidly changing environment; part two offers practical advice on how to transform learning in the workplace; and part three gives a range of action-planning and review exercises to assist with the development of a worthwhile strategy.
