Organisations, like social systems, grow, mature and evolve and in the process, show various changes in structure, policy, strategies, processes, technology, staff and management. This article is the text of a paper delivered at the regional program on managing change through organisational development held at the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) in Manila in September 2001.
