The Raising Quality and Achievement (RQA) program, run by the Learning and Skills Development Agency (LSDA) in partnership with the Association of Colleges (AOC) and funded through the United Kingdom government's Standards Fund, helps colleges improve quality standards and students' achievements. 'Quality matters' is the newsletter for this program. This issue of the newsletter focuses on improving quality and achievement in educational institutions and contains articles in which a range of people share their experiences and approaches to teaching with the aim of bringing disengaged learners back into learning.
