The goal of AIESEC (Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) is to broaden the horizon of young people with the aim of helping people in the world to live together more peacefully. This paper discusses what lifelong learning means to AIESEC. Four examples to describe the lack of lifelong learning in society are presented: lack of learning to take over responsibility; lack of attention to current issues in school; lack of important topics in school education; and lack of partnership and co-operation between generations and cultures. This is followed by a discussion, from a young people's perspective, of strategies and concepts that support a process of lifelong learning.
