The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), a two-stage program providing flexible pathways to work and further study, aims to: (1) encourage the successful completion of secondary education; (2) develop students’ skills and knowledge for successful participation in contemporary Australian society; (3) prepare students to enter post-school studies and employment; and (4) be a certificate that is valued by the community and those who hold it. This document outlines the policy principles, the relevant legislation, the policy statement, the policy procedures and the SACE reporting. A glossary is also included.
