This magazine provides articles and reports on European Community policies in the fields of education, training, youth, audiovisual technology, culture, languages, sport and civil society. It is published twice a year in June and December and is available in English, French and German. This issue focuses on tolerance and intercultural dialogue across Europe in light of the increase in terrorist activity around the world. It examines the policy approach of the European Commission, particularly the Directorate-General for Education and Culture, to combat ethnic intolerance and to strengthen political and cultural convergence with ‘third countries’. The articles discuss aspects of racism in Europe and activities designed to promote tolerance and inclusion of ethnic minorities.
