The generally accepted, process-oriented concept of controlling in the area of training has led to an overly narrow focus. The authors argue that a coordination-oriented understanding of controlling allows for a more broadly conceived spectrum of assessment activities. On the basis of a scientific analysis of the current situation, the authors develop a system-based approach to controlling continuing vocational training activities. They demonstrate how in-plant vocational training can be integrated into the management system and what controlling tasks result. The book is directed at teachers and students in business economics and business pedagogy as well as executives responsible for continuing vocational training and employees of training institutions.
