This report is based on a pilot project which examined cooperation between institutes for technical and vocational education (TVET) and enterprises in Uganda. The objectives of the project were to promote cooperative links between institutes for TVET and industries/enterprises through: an exchange of knowledge and know how and the joint undertaking of research and development projects; the acquisition by students and teachers of the experience of life in an enterprise; and the renewal and adaptation of teaching and training programs to suit productive work.
