Strengthening national training capacities in educational planning and administration: report of an IIEP seminar, Paris, 10-14 December 1990

The Paris seminar, held by the International Institute for Educational Planning, was attended by the heads of a number of training institutions in developing countries. Participants were involved in: sharing their experiences of training in educational planning and administration (EPA); an analysis of national training needs, both quantitative and qualitative; looking at ways to strengthen national capacities for training educational planners and administrators, with particular emphasis on training of trainers and the preparation of teaching materials; and exploring the concept of a partnership between the IIEP, UNESCO and its Regional Offices, and the training institutions represented at the seminar, to promote stronger national training capacity in educational planning and administration. This document contains reports on the outcomes of these activities. A list of participants is included.
