Some observations on equity in VET

This paper reviews the author's work on equity in vocational education and training (VET) over the previous five years. The research falls into two broad areas: (i) a search for practical solutions to pressing policy and planning problems; and (ii) commissioned research in the area of performance indicators and equity. The question of how equity in VET should be understood is addressed and priorities for future research are identified.
