This article compares adult learning in Norway, Great Britain and Spain. The article discusses the rates of participation in adult learning, types of courses taken, course providers, importance of qualifications, reasons for study, barriers to access for learners, motivation for learning and reasons for studying and study benefits. It concludes that adults in Norway have higher levels of educational qualifications than in either Great Britain or Spain.
