The ethics of practice has become a popular topic of discussion in the field of adult education in recent years and this article reports on a study examining the views of adult education practitioners in British Columbia about the need for a code of ethics and about the ethical issues, concerns and dilemmas they have experienced. The study, a replication of a research project carried out in Indiana, was conducted to determine the similarities and differences in ethical issues confronting adult education practitioners in Canada and America and provide further insights into the ethics of practice.
