The learning practitioner in organisations: challenges in researching a changing role

This paper looks at some of the challenges associated with investigating the role and occupational identity of learning practitioners who operate in organisations as opposed to those in educational institutions. These include: (1) the naming of this group of organisational practitioners; (2) the distribution of learning responsibilities; (3) a diversity of theoretical bases for practice; and (4) a diversity of models of organisational practice.
