Higher education courses in the community: issues around guidance and learning support for non-traditional students

This chapter looks at the relationship between the goals of community education, educational guidance and higher education. The author suggests that there is a need to bridge the gap between the flexible aspects of facilitated community learning and the more formalised support mechanisms of institutional systems.
