This chapter describes a teacher training project that was sponsored by McGill University of Montreal, Canada, The Pontifical Catholic University of Lima, Peru and the Higher Institute of Technology and Pedagogy, Urubama, Peru. This project, called Project CRAM, is designed to provide teacher training based on the McGill model for training indigenous teachers and focuses on validating indigenous language and culture with the hope of better equipping Peru for its place in the Pacific and the global economy.
