University for Industry (UfI) is a new initiative to give people access to learning throughout their lives. It is about using the advances in information and communication technologies to bring learning to people at work, at home and in the community. It is about drawing together business, education and a wide range of agencies to provide cost-effective, flexible and high-quality learning for the new century. This document addresses the problems and requirements of post-compulsory education and training. It examines what initiatives the government can and should make to improve the supply of post-compulsory education and learning services.
