Opportunity Youth is a social and health education project delivered through peer education methodologies (see Perry et al, 1986; Perry, 1989) in four community workshops in North and West Belfast. This article reports on the value of such an approach to improving the employability of the trainees attending the workshops that is accessed as part of the vocational training curriculum within the four workshops. The findings clearly show the merits of this approach through its contribution as indicated by all those attending, and associated with the delivery of both Opportunity Youth Programme and vocational education in the four workshops.
