In August 1999, 'Flexible learning for the information economy: a framework for national collaboration in vocational education and training 2000-2004' was endorsed. It is designed to support accelerated take-up of flexible learning modes and to position Australian VET as a world leader in the application of new technologies to vocational education products and services. This publication is the first annual plan in a five-year funding cycle to support the implementation of the framework.
