Learning organisations

This book identifies the need, in today's rapidly-developing business world, for organisations to be ready to adapt to change in order to survive and prosper. This entails the need to be able to learn by recognising the value of individual, team and organisational learning. By encouraging individuals and teams to accept responsibility and authority for their actions, and by encouraging risk-taking, businesses are more likely to reap rewards of innovation, creativity and improved employee motivation and performance. The book suggests what organisations can do to become learning organisations and the role of senior management is shown to be vital in giving a clear signal about how learning is seen to be integral to business objectives.
