National program coordinators: conference: issues papers

This information paper contains articles relating to a seminar on structured work placements which was held in March 1996. It begins by looking at coordination models and issues, identifying the infrastructure provided by the vocational education and training (VET) sector and also the issues of demand and supply of work placements. The second part describes a range of Australian Student Traineeship Foundation (ASTF) program models and groups those with common features. The purpose of this paper is to help with the establishment of quality workplace programs.
