This paper was presented at the Commonwealth Pacific Region Ministers of Education Meeting, Kuala Lumpur, 4-6 March 2000. The purpose of the paper was to present some of the achievements of the Aboriginal primary health care training program in South Australia and to examine the important contributions the curriculum is making to the role of indigenous health care workers as professional members of multidisciplinary health teams.
