Touchy-feely feedback

This article discusses training course evaluation and highlights the importance of the evaluation process as a measure of the success of the training program. The author emphasises that organisations spend a lot of time and money developing and running training programs, but when it comes to evaluating them, they are not so enthusiastic. He points out that organisations rarely insist on thorough evaluation of the actual learning that has taken place, the changes to employees' behaviour or performance, or the results such as improved productivity, better quality or improved morale. The latter part of the article discusses the formatting of the evaluation form, its advantages and disadvantages.
