Labour market performance of Australia's non-metropolitan regions

This article considers labour market performance at the sub-State level in Australia by reference to three important variables: unemployment rates, participation rates and job growth rates. The conclusion reached is that there is extreme variation in performance across Australia's non-metropolitan regions. Further research is required to determine the reasons for this variation.
