This report presents a summary of the results from the 1999 national survey of employers' views on vocational education and training (VET) in Australia. Employers with at least one employee who had completed a VET course of at least 200 hours duration within two years prior to the survey, as well as employers with no VET graduate employees were surveyed. Data were collected relevant to their characteristics and general knowledge of and views on VET and training practices. For employers with recent VET graduate employees, additional information was collected about their views on the availability, relevance and quality of course delivery and graduates' skills.
