Evening and community colleges of New South Wales: a study of their history, provision and concerns: a 1990s perspective

This paper attempts to identify the concerns and the dilemmas that evening and community colleges face as they progress through the 1990s. The paper also attempts to explain why these concerns have arisen. As background, a brief history of the evolution of the colleges and a description of the nature and scope of their provision are outlined. Such a perspective may permit readers to determine whether the changes that have occurred in evening and school education have been successful.
