New national structure

This brief article describes the outcome of the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) review of the implementation of national training reform. The review indicated the need to rationalise the structures through which the national vocational education and training system is managed and operated, and recommended a new agency to replace a number of bodies whose accountability is unclear. The author in her role as Chair of the National Structures Transition Team, reports on the Team's development of a series of proposals for the structure, functions and operation of a new national structure.
