Postcompulsory curriculum and certificates in the 1990s

This article provides a detailed description of postcompulsory education arrangements in Australian schools as they existed at November of 1993. The article is a summary of a detailed report entitled 'Post-compulsory education and training arrangements in the Australian states and territories', see TD/TNC 39.45 for further information. The information describes the changes in curriculum structure and school organisation that have occurred as a response to a dramatic increase in school retention rates and changes in student composition.
