The Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the recognised association for IT professionals and has just completed a restructure to make the society more relevant to people in the industry. Using the newly developed Australian Core Body of Knowledge, as defined by the ACS, as a measuring stick, there will be a Professional Division of Fellows and Members, and tightened entry requirements for professional membership. Entry to the Associate grade has been broadened.
