Workplace mentoring: learning or control?

New versions of mentoring have seen it become a fashionable organisational tool introduced as formalised programs into a range of workplaces over recent years. In this paper the author raises two potential limitations in presently fashionable mentoring programs and proposes an alternative model based on mutual learning and equality of participation.
