The purpose of the study being reported here was to evaluate the adaptation and supply of the Certificates in Workplace Education (CWE) in the People's Republic of China. The overarching framework for the study was built on content from the units and elements of competency which are underpinned by the nationally recognised CWE. The methodological approach employed for data collection throughout the study focused on the conduct of skills analyses and skill audits across sample industries. The study has opened many doors for the conduct of more research and provision of enterprise assistance, for the furtherance of which recommendations are offered.
