Targeting training in the workplace: women, skills recognition and training in the hospitality industry

The ACCESS Skills Recognition and Assessment Program gives opportunities to industries which rely heavily on part-time and casual staff and which offer relatively low levels of in-house training. This report examines the findings of the Women's Targeted Training Project in the hospitality industry. That project was set up by the Equity, Policy and Programs branch, Office of Further Education and Training (OTFE), Victoria. It was established as part of the State Training System Strategy for Women, linked to the National Plan of Action for Women in TAFE (NPAWT). The project addressed these questions:
