Riding the wind of change

This is David Kemp's first interview as Minister for Schools, Vocational Education and Training in the Howard government. In it, he outlines the federal government's ideas for implementing its pre-election policy document 'Pathways to real jobs'. Those ideas include schools contributing to apprentice training; a national survey providing a benchmark for literacy among the young; extensive consultation among employers, employees, public and private training providers, schools, and government.
