The TAFE Open Learning and Flexible Delivery National Staff Development Program is an awareness-raising program introducing the reader to the philosophy, principles and practices of open learning. It is aimed at all TAFE staff who are either unfamiliar with, or just starting to become aware of, open learning and flexible delivery. This module raises awareness of participants in joint TAFE-industry projects of the range of open learning design and delivery strategies and processes, to enable effective open learning collaborative project development with industry. This module assumes the reader has a good knowledge of open learning philosophy, the basic principles of flexible delivery and the implications for the design of learning resources, the implications for managing the change to open learning and accessing and adapting existing resources. This background knowledge is provided in modules 1-5.
