Selection for vocational education: some lessons from elsewhere

This paper discusses the question of student selection for vocational education. It addresses issues such as justice, efficiency, justice in practice and corruption in public examinations. The choice of a selection system for vocational education is discussed. The paper concludes that there is room for optimism that efficient and just selection approaches can be developed.
