Gordon Bilney, the Minister for Defence Science and Personnel, describes in this article recent moves for accreditation in and out of the Australian Defence Forces (ADF). The ADF is a significant provider of training across many of the disciplines found in civilian industry. Civil accreditation and recognition of defence force training will increase the interaction of the men and women of the armed service and the community at large.
