Issues paper: the national alignment of vocational education and training credentials to the Australian Standards Framework [Rumsey report]

The paper examines the national alignment of vocational education and training credentials to the Australian Standards Framework (ASF) established by the National Training Board. It looks at the present system of major academic awards in Australia, factors which will influence the system of credentials, and suggests a new credential model. Transition issues are discussed.
