Bridging the employment-training gap

In spite of a dramatic increase in training since the introduction of the training guarantee, Australia lags far behind competitor countries. Four facts about training are emphasised in this article: education and training should be life-long experiences; there should be no distinction between on- and off-the-job training activity; training is everyone's responsibility; without continuous formal training, we don't stand a chance.
