What can be done to help students succeed in higher education: a 1985 South Australian study

This report presents an overview of: problems experienced by students in their first year of higher education in South Australia; strategies for overcoming these problems, and; conditions under which certain strategies are likely to be successful. After outlining main student problems, the report looks at student success through the stages of preparation, adjustment and the first year experience.
