- Financing and effects of internationalisation in higher education: an Australian country study

The main aim of this project is to answer the two questions of 'who benefits? who pays?' with respect ot internationalised teaching and learning. In particular, the dominant focus of this research is on assessing the costs and benefits associated with international student flows and of the internationalisation of the curricula. Costs and benefits are assessed at the level of the institution and the nation as a whole. The research methods used were: (i) the compilation of aggregate data including a literature review; (ii) a limited number of case studies of higher education institutions; and (iii) surveys of overseas and domestic students in relation to the costs and benefits of internationalised teaching and learning.
