This article discusses a new project in South Australia which is being trialed to equip intellectually disabled secondary students with the tools to access VET programs in school. STEP to VET was developed by Disability Services and the Northern Adelaide Regional Workplace Learning Centre. Students gain accreditation within SACE by completing competencies to make them work-ready.
