Motivations for enrolments in external studies

1,561 students out of 4,023 possible first enrollees at the Open College of Further Education, South Australia, were mail surveyed. The principal investigation of the study revolved about demographic, social and personality profileso f typical students in all major subject areas. This profile was developed from an extensive questionnaire relating to motivational states of individuals entering the external mode of tuition.
