Resource implication for competency based training

This project was proposed by the School of Plumbing and Sheetmetal Work, Regency College of TAFE. The broad terms of the project included an analysis of the implications of competency based training (CBT) on physical, human and learning resources, with particular reference to establishing a model identifying appropriate planning and development criteria. It was intended that the analysis be used across DETAFE program areas as a guide for managers and developers in the planning stages of CBT, so as to measure the resource impact and infrastructure arrangements needed to develop and implement this type of training. The project methodology included a literature search, identification of relevant case studies, and interviews and consultations with lecturers and research officers. A glossary of terms and a bibliography are included.
