Multicultural management commitment plan: 1993-95

This plan addresses issues of meaningful and positive participation in DETAFE and the wider community by non-English speaking background people, Aboriginal people and all other people who may be disadvantaged in Australian society by reason of their race, language or culture. The plan aims to integrate these issues into the mainstream of DETAFE's activities through a strategic planning approach to policy implementation and review. The goals and objectives are guided by the values embodied in the concepts of equal opportunity, affirmative action and multiculturalism. They are applied specifically to the areas of economic development, social justice, settlement services, client services, human resource management and ethnicity data collection.
