This learning activities material has been developed for use within the module 'Industrial law'. The activities have been designed for a self-paced, competency-based, well-resourced situation. The purpose of this module is to give students an appreciation of industrial law as it applies to human resource management, by focusing on the relationship between management and employees. The topics are: (1) the Australian legal system, (2) contract of employment, (3) termination of the contract, (4) redundancy, and (5) reinstatement.
