Microprocessor programming 2: learning guide

This learning activities material has been developed for use within the module 'Microprocessor programming 2'. It has been designed to be used in a self-paced, competency-based, well-resourced situation. The module focuses on how to use microcontrollers to perform some useful control task. This involves learning how to program a microcontroller and how to use tools commonly used in the industry to make sure it does as required. Topics covered are: (1) the basics of using DOS, (2) introduction to assemblers, (3) interfacing a personal computer to a microprocessor/microcontroller unit, (4) introduction to assembly language programming, and (5) further assembly language programming.
